normal day

Day 4-Today, my mom went deep sea fishing so it was just my dad, my brother and me in the morning. We went to the pool. When we picked her up she said she caught nothing but she saw 40 spinner dolphins. We went home and had lunch. Then we went snorkeling and we saw another green sea turtle just swimming along and we saw a couple more eating the algae in the shallow pools. Then we went home and had spear fish that the boat yesterday caught for dinner.

Science-Today, the weather finally cleared. It was sunny for about 90% of the day. Today it was only cloudy for about 5 minutes.

Social studies-Today, we went to a pond that is supposedly where King Kamehameha’s son bathed. King Kamehameha’s god was the god of war. He would march into battle dressed like the god of war with flaming hair and his face dripping with blood. Here is a face of the god of war in the lava. The kahuna’s use to light fires in the eyes at night to scare away other warriors.

Hi Jackson! What an exciting "normal' day. I wish I could be there seeing all the things you are seeing, but I will enjoy checking your blog and seeing them from far away. So far, I like the face of the god of war in the lava, and the sea turtles the best (though I would have loved to see the spinner dolphins, too). Keep writing and posting and I will check back and send more comments.

Hi Jackson! Mrs. Place sent me the link to your blog and I was very excited to read all about your journey. I spent some time in Hawaii last summer on the North Shore of Oahou and on the Big Island. Hawaii is one of my favorite places in all the world. I love the pictures of the sea turtles. I can't wait to read more about your adventures!

What a way cool site, Jack! Uncle John and I went to Hawaii when you were living in New Zealand. Your site has reminded me of all of the wonderful things we did there.

Uncle John and I spent a week at Volcano National Park. We stood on live lava tubes collecting molten lava with the head Volcanologist, Don Swan. The face of the god of war is way cool. I Have learned a lot about hawaii from your blog.

Can't wait to read the next posting.

I finally figured it out! I am very impressed with the blog Jackson. It looks like you are having a great time and learning a lot. You are lucky to be in the warmer weather, it is miserable here. I love the sea turtle pictures and the fish. I know you are snorkeling with the manta rays tonight. Take pictures if you can! I can't wait to see the other adventures you post!
